3 Kanwariyas killed, several injured as truck overturns on Rishikesh-Chamba highway
Security forces have thwarted a significant Naxalite conspiracy in Jharkhand's West Singhbhum district, achieving a major breakthrough on Tuesday. Acting on confidential intelligence received by SP Rakesh Ranjan, a joint operation led to the recovery of a massive cache of 18,000 detonators hidden by Naxalites in the forest of Husipi village, located within the Tonto police station area. These explosives, intended for subversive activities, were safely destroyed on the spot by a bomb disposal squad to neutralize any immediate threat.
This substantial recovery deals a severe blow to the Naxalite elements operating in the region. The security forces' timely action prevented a potential large-scale attack, as the Naxals had strategically concealed these explosives with the explicit aim of targeting security personnel involved in anti-Naxal operations. The sheer volume of detonators indicates a well-planned and extensive plot that could have led to devastating consequences.
Authorities have identified top leaders of various Naxal organizations, including Misir Besra, Anmol, Mochu, Anal, Asim Mandal, Ajay Mahato, Sagen Angaria, and Ashwin, along with their squad members, as actively roaming and coordinating subversive activities within the Saranda and Kolhan areas. These leaders are known for their attempts to destabilize the region and pose a persistent threat to peace and security.
In response to the continued threat posed by these groups, security forces have been conducting relentless and continuous operations. The recovery of the detonators is a direct result of these intensified efforts, which involve meticulous intelligence gathering and coordinated ground operations by various security units. Such operations are vital to dismantle Naxalite networks and disrupt their supply lines for explosives and other arms.
